Just did a vid about BHO's proposed changes to tax code (mostly for corporations and the exceptionally wealthy) on YT- but what do people think? Do you think the proposed changes are a step in the right direction? Whether or not you think they are a good idea - do you think BHO has any chance of getting them through Congress?
In the interest of full disclosure, my answers would be yes and no.

Hey, I'm glad you found your way to the forum. As you can see it's new, but I'm hoping it will pick up a bit. Here's the link to Feel Free to Argue's video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gp29_zowIEwYou can put links to the things you're talking about. Here's what I think: It's obviously a good idea to cut out all the loopholes these very industries have lobbied to have written into the tax code, and I don't know if I trust that they're actually even going to try to do it, but definitely would be nice if they do. Can they get it through Congress? Again, I wonder how hard they'll try. I imagine the Republicans will fight it, and they are a very unified party. Until the Dems have 60 Senate seats, this isn't going to pass. And if they ever get 60 Senate seats, I wonder if this kind of revolutionary legislation will sort of start disappearing from their plans when there's no opposition to stop it... maybe they're expecting the Republicans to shoot it down, and they can look like the heroes for trying. As you can see, I don't trust either party very much.
